Welcome to Prompt Neuropsych Solutions. Founded by Jonathan Highsmith, Ph.D., ABPP, Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology. Our neuropsychological testing company was born out of a deep commitment to serving our community with compassion and efficiency.
Our Mission
We strive to alleviate some of the frustration and anxiety that comes with waiting months for answers and help to possible changes to the brain. We aim to increase the availability of timely neuropsychological assessments by providing appointments within weeks of referral, reports and recommendations within days of the appointment, and give people accurate, comprehensive answers to your concerns of changes to your memory and thinking skills, without the long wait.

Meet the Team
Jonathan Highsmith, Ph.D., ABPP
Dr. Highsmith lives in San Antonio, TX, with his wife Margaret, and their four children, two dogs, and two cats. He is a veteran of the US Army, serving as an operator in tactical Psychological Operations, with service in Iraq. After his military service, he completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology from East Carolina University with a clinical focus in neuropsychology and a research focus in psychophysiology of personality, anxiety, and executive functioning. He them completed an internship in clinical psychology (Neuropsychology track) at the Memphis VA Medical Center and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the South Texas VA Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He has worked in several staff positions, including in the outpatient Polytrauma service and the general outpatient consultation service at the South Texas VA. He has been active as a supervisor for many years in the postdoctoral fellowship at the VA. In addition to his private practice work, he still serves as the clinical neuropsychologist for the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center at the Audie Murphy VAMC in San Antonio, TX, and is on staff at New Braunfels Regional Rehabilitation Center.
Margaret Highsmith, M.Ed.
Margaret was a military spouse, endured deployments, her husband being in a doctoral program, and several moves across the country for psychology training programs and still enjoys working with her husband. She has a history in early childhood education and completed a master’s degree in education from Ashford University with a focus on educational assessment. She was active for several years teaching and served on the board of an educational homeschool cooperative. She currently serves as a psychometrist and works completing neuropsychological test batteries with Dr. Highsmith and is the business manager of the practice.
